Ramat Barnea
Ashkelon, Israel
2014-2015
This extensive project, Ramat Barnea in Ashkelon, Israel, is a comprehensive residential neighborhood for the client Yahalomit Peretz, designed by Raziel Architects. Spanning a large 341,200 SF(31,700 Sq Meter) and providing 168 diverse multi-family units, the design is centered on creating a walkable, community-focused environment. The master plan strategically arranges the units around open green corridors and shared courtyards, expertly integrating building massing with the site's topography, vehicular access, and pedestrian pathways.
As Project Designer, my role was instrumental in the site planning and housing layouts. My key contributions included developing block layouts to optimize unit density, orientation, and access, and assisting in the design of various unit typologies and floor plans. I produced essential colored plan studies and phase diagrams for client review and crucial planning authority approvals. Furthermore, I participated in coordination with landscape and civil consultants on street sections and open space strategies, and supported the preparation of all necessary permit documents and graphic materials for public and municipal presentations.
