Havazelet Hasharon Masterplan

Netanya, Israel

2021-2024

This significant project is a comprehensive master plan for a new mixed-use neighborhood in Netanya, Israel, commissioned by The Netanya Development and Tourism Company Ltd. and executed by Y.Y. Granot Architects. Spanning a vast 140.85 acres (570,000 Sq Meter ), the plan envisions a vibrant, high-density community featuring over 3,300 total residential units (including 2,800 standard and 500 senior housing units) alongside substantial commercial, office, and public facilities. The neighborhood's design is focused on promoting walkability, urban density, and excellent access to public transit.

My crucial role as Urban Design & Planning Coordinator involved leading the integration of the master plan with the city's vision. A major contribution was leading the coordination with the City Planning Department to ensure alignment with all municipal goals and regulatory frameworks. I was also responsible for preparing the official Design Guidelines Booklet, which will govern the long-term vision and cohesive character of the new neighborhood by defining architectural massing standards, façade language, setbacks, street types, and public realm elements. This role required continuous collaboration with the urban design team and city stakeholders to incorporate principles of flexibility, sustainability, and accessibility.

Mixed-use masterplan: 2,800 residential, 500 senior housing, offices, public/commercial uses.
